What a Greenhouse Does
A greenhouse is a building with glass or clear walls that lets in sunlight. It stays warmer than the outside air, so plants can keep growing even when the weather is cold.

Why Gardeners Use One
Gardeners use greenhouses to start seeds early and protect delicate plants. A greenhouse also helps control temperature and moisture more carefully.
