Where Do Penguins Live?
Penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere. Most penguins live near cold oceans in places like Antarctica, South America, and New Zealand. They do NOT live at the North Pole!

What Do Penguins Eat?
Penguins eat fish, squid, and tiny animals called krill. They catch their food by diving deep into the ocean. Some penguins can hold their breath for over 20 minutes!

• Emperor penguins are the tallest — about 4 feet tall
• Penguins cannot fly, but they are excellent swimmers
