The Rained-Out Picnic
On a Saturday morning at Cedar Hill Park, Jordan's family had just spread out their picnic blanket when dark clouds rolled in. Thunder rumbled, and fat raindrops started to fall onto their sandwiches.
Jordan felt disappointed that their planned picnic was ruined after they had packed all morning. His mom noticed his face and suggested they move everything to their car instead.
They ate their sandwiches inside the car while watching the rain patter on the windshield, laughing about their "picnic on wheels." Jordan decided it was actually one of the most fun lunches they'd ever had.
