The Sandcastle Contest
At the annual sandcastle contest on Pelican Beach, Noah and his best friend spent two hours building a castle with tall towers and a deep moat. Just before the judges arrived, a big wave rushed up the sand and knocked down one whole tower.
Noah's heart sank as he watched their hard work crumble in seconds. His friend suggested they quickly rebuild using wet sand farther from the water.
Working fast together, they rebuilt an even taller tower before the judges reached their spot. The judges awarded them second place, and Noah felt proud that they hadn't given up.
