1 Types of Endings

🏁 Stories can end in different ways. Read each type!

😊 Happy Ending: The problem is solved and everyone is happy.

😮 Surprise Ending: Something unexpected happens at the end!

💭 Lesson Learned: The character learns an important lesson.

🔄 Full Circle: The end connects back to the beginning.

What type of ending does each story have?

2 Write Different Endings

📖 Read the story beginning and middle. Then write THREE different endings!

Story: Priya found a tiny locked diary at a yard sale. She showed it to her neighbor Sam. They noticed the lock matched a key hidden in an old birdhouse, so they opened it and found a stack of hand-drawn maps…

3 Fix the Weak Ending

💪 This story has a boring ending. Rewrite it to make it strong!

Owen was worried about the debate competition. He almost forgot his notes at home. When it was finally his turn to speak, his voice cracked, but his teammate Zara nodded from her seat. "You know this," she mouthed. Then he sat down. The end.
