1 Types of Endings

🏁 Stories can end in different ways. Read each type!

😊 Happy Ending: The problem is solved and everyone is happy.

😮 Surprise Ending: Something unexpected happens at the end!

💭 Lesson Learned: The character learns an important lesson.

🔄 Full Circle: The end connects back to the beginning.

What type of ending does each story have?

2 Write Different Endings

📖 Read the story beginning and middle. Then write THREE different endings!

Story: Marcus found an old compass in his attic. He showed it to his neighbor Priya. They noticed the needle always pointed toward the old oak tree at the end of the street, so they followed it and found a rusty tin box buried at the roots…

3 Fix the Weak Ending

💪 This story has a boring ending. Rewrite it to make it strong!

Aaliyah was nervous about her class presentation. She didn't want to go first. When she finally stood up, her voice shook, but a classmate named Diego gave her a thumbs up. "You've got this," he whispered. Then she sat back down. The end.
