1 What is a Personal Narrative?
๐Ÿ“ A personal narrative is a TRUE story about something that happened to YOU. Read this example.
Last summer, my family went kayaking for the first time. I was thrilled but also worried about tipping over. Halfway across the lake, a wave rocked our kayak and I gripped the paddle tightly. Dad calmly told me to lean the other way to balance. After that, I relaxed and started to enjoy the ride. By the end of the trip, I didn't want to stop paddling! Now kayaking is one of my favorite things to do.
